The Brother MFC-9420CN Printer Has Many Elements
The Brother MFC-9420CN printer has it all and does it all. It is fast, delivers quality output and the cost is reasonable as well. This all-in-one office machine is the ideal choice for the small to medium size office or business. It goes easy on the Brother MFC-9420CN cartridges, yet produces crystal clear text output and has many functions.
Among it functions, aside from printing, are scanning and faxing with compatible toner. It can scan to email and is friends with most mail programs allowing it to send a message with the scan. The fact that it can fax from a PC gives it a very important edge. Talking of faxing, this machine produces some of the best quality color faxes and scans in the business.
There are no complicated actions to perform to get the machine working once it is delivered. Put in the toner cartridge, make sure the machine has paper and plug it into the socket. The process of sliding the machine into the network is automatic and should not be a problem.
As far as speed is concerned, it beats its competitors and takes no prisoners. It goes through 31 pages of black and white printouts a minute. For color, the speed is 8 per minute. That is not bad at all for a laser. Sharp printouts done quickly is what you would expect from a good laser printer and that is what you get here. Printing is at 2400×600 dpi. The documents you print out with this printer are bound to be clear and sharp. This all-in-one has not forgotten that it is really supposed to be a printer. If you want to avoid the cost of outsourcing your printing, get a good all in one. This is one to consider.
It is bulky and made to last. This is not a machine to tuck away in a corner. If you want a quiet pretty boy whispering through a few pages a minute on the desktop, then this model is not for you. It is a workhorse made to handle whatever you throw at it and built like the muscleman it is. It delivers time after time.
These printers have a standard Ethernet interface and can therefore be integrated into the network. In the network is where it shows one of its strongest points, the excellent color faxing abilities that cannot be equaled by many. The quality of its color faxing is superb. Its fax modem provides fast fax sending at 33.6K bps in color or monochrome.
The machine does not waste toner and cartridges can last a long time. Remanufactured cartridges are available when you need toner. They are reasonably priced and freely available.
These printers feature a paper tray holding 250 sheets instead of the 180 of many competitors. The tray can be adjusted to hold letter size and A4 size paper. Paper capacity can be increased to 780 if an optional holder for 530 sheets is added.
The Brother MFC-9420CN with Brother 9420CN toner, is a good solid choice as a three in one. Its strong points include its speed of printing and the fact that you may fax from a PC while using compatible toner. It faxes very well in color and has a high paper capacity and good use of toner. In its class, it is a perfect choice compared with other similar models.
